What’s in the Pipeline

Starting in July 2024, a new resiliency program will be rolled out. We are integrating a validated instrument that can measure a person’s subjective perception of their personal resilience on three main scales, each with three sub-scales (= 9 scales total). The computer-generated results and diagrams & charts help clients navigate themselves through their personal growth and help us make specific customized recommendations if clients choose to grow. This new training and examples of the new tool will be highlighted in our next newsletter.

The Human Growth Compass, an instrument that I developed and validated for my Ph.D., will be rolled out in June and highlighted in the next newsletter. This instrument measures the psychosocial maturity of individuals in four main areas, which influence each other interdependently. This coaching tool is designed to foster self-reflection and help individuals take responsibility for their own personal and professional growth. The Human Growth Compass will come with two options. One, a 1:1 coaching tool with clients. Two, a client can select a handful of people in their network who also fill out the questionnaire for them. The collected feedback is anonymous and can help clients determine a possible gap between their self-perception and how others perceive them. This new tool will be highlighted in our next newsletter.

Yet, I have not met many who actually know how to use EI effectively on the job. This article is designed to tell you about the advantages and, yes, dangers of Emotional Intelligence Leadership and share a few tips with you regarding how to use it effectively on the job.

2023 Study on Leadership: Self-Reflection and Feedback are Essential

This research explored the leadership Knowing-Doing Gap, which is defined as a discrepancy between managers’ leadership knowing and the extent to which they transfer it into leadership doing. The researchers analyzed 65 critical incidents from interviews with 22 managers in leadership roles across various organizational levels in the United Kingdom.

I will be the first to admit that when I was invited to join the trainer certification for Lego® Serious Play in October 2023, I was very skeptical. In fact, I had some serious doubts. The only contact I had with Legos while growing up was when I (painfully) stepped on them when my brothers left them on the plush carpet at our house.

In the last decade, I have never met a leader who has not heard of emotional intelligence.
